TILE ART
The Tile ART series utilizes ceramic tiles as the primary printing surface. In this process, photographs are printed onto ceramic tiles, then heated to solidify the ink, resulting in natural and random cracking patterns. These works do not strive to express a particular theme or seek aesthetic value in the cracks. This method is similar to the OHP series but with some key differences. In the OHP series, ink printed on film is transferred directly onto photo paper, whereas in Tile ART, the ink is printed onto ceramic tiles and then solidified with heat, making the tile itself an integral part of the artwork. Both methods share the uniqueness of being unable to reproduce the same piece multiple times, infusing the aura of a painting into photographic works.
